The Way Forward… is a three part digital photographic project which focuses on 3 separate issues of land dispute in the country between 2005 & 2006. The Work consists of 19 images in total
The first section titled Right of Way deals with the building of the Greeenstar Dumpsite in Killconnell in Galway. An issue over a right of way used by both parties was an important factor in the disputes, which arose between company and locals there.
Ways & Means, the second part of the project deals with the still ongoing disputes between the people in Rossport Mayo and those responsible for the construction of the shell pipeline. The photographs were taken at a point when the work on the pipeline had been halted as a result of the efforts of the locals there.
The Final section of the work titled Making Way focuses on the construction of the M3, in the Skreen Valley near Tara in Meath which was under protest as the building was leading to the destruction of local areas considered to be of national heritage.
