About the Artist:
Aishling is a 1:1 Audio Visual Media Graduate based in Mullingar Westmeath Ireland. In August 2006 Aishling travelled to New York for 3 months to work as an intern with Magnum Photos in the multimedia division of Magnum In Motion. Aishling has held solo exhibitions of her work Mirror Nature, in Mullingar in September 07 and again in Cork City in May 08. Her work has also been shown in many group exhibitions including a graduate show and yearly photographic club shows in Westmeath. Aishling is a member of Mullingar Camera Club and has recently been awarded her licentiateship with the Irish Photographic Federation.
Mainly interested in Photography, Aishling is also very interested in the medium of Film Making especially the area of short films. For the last two years she has been involved with the Comotion Youth Film festival held at Belvedere House in Mullingar. Aishling has also been working as a film facilitator, working with youths in Dublin with the Digital film School as well as working with youths and adults in more rural areas in the midlands. Aishling will be returning to her studies in September 08 to begin her masters in Art in the Digital World in NCAD
