Mentoring | Artist Development
Artists · Creative Practitioners · Independent Makers · Emerging & Established Practice
Aishling Muller works one-to-one with artists and creative practitioners through mentoring, project development and professional practice support.
Sessions are conversational, responsive and shaped around the individual artist, their work and the questions currently arising within their practice.
Rather than applying a fixed formula, mentoring creates space to step back, recognise patterns, clarify direction and develop approaches that feel sustainable and specific to the person.
Drawing on more than two decades of experience across photography, moving image, performance, socially engaged practice, environmental fieldwork and interdisciplinary projects, Muller brings a broad perspective to conversations around creative development and long-term practice.
Mentoring is offered primarily through one-to-one sessions, online or in person where appropriate.
Sessions may be booked individually or developed as a short series where ongoing conversation would be useful.
Areas of support can include:
Creative Practice Development
Clarifying direction, identifying recurring themes and recognising where a body of work may be moving next.
Project Development
Developing ideas, structure, research approaches and the relationship between concept, process and outcome.
Long-Term Bodies of Work
Supporting sustained projects through periods of uncertainty, transition and change.
Visual Storytelling & Documentation
Thinking through how work is photographed, sequenced, communicated and presented without flattening the individuality of the practice.
