Aishling Muller’s practice has developed over two decades through photography, moving image, installation, performance, participation and long-term engagement with landscape and environmental change across Ireland, Iceland, Greece, Sweden and wider international contexts.

Originally trained in Audio Visual Media before completing an MA in Art in the Digital World at NCAD, Dublin, Muller’s early work developed through photography, documentary storytelling, moving image and environmental inquiry. A formative period with Magnum Photos in New York deepened her interest in documentary ethics, authorship and the construction of meaning through images.

Extended periods of travel, environmental immersion and cultural exchange shaped the development of a place-based practice. Time spent living and working in Iceland was especially formative, expanding the work into multi-sensory and site-responsive installation.

Further study with the Marina Abramović Institute and the Centre for Applied Jungian Studies informed investigations into performance, presence, mythology, archetype, symbolic process, neurodiversity and embodied experience.

Community engagement and education remain an important strand of the practice through workshops, mentorship, public talks, curatorial and cultural programming, and collaborations with schools, universities, NGOs, artists and arts organisations.
